vote for your favorites

As our judges have been working on selecting the overall Contest winner, we've chosen four sets of videos around four different themes to celebrate the amazing entries you sent us. Think of these as the superlative section of your high school yearbook. Each week, we've had a new fan favorite, and we’ve shared those over on our Tumblr.

Fan voting is now closed — thanks for weighing in! As our judges finish judging, see how the public voted below and keep getting the word out on all the Tiny Desk Contest talent.

"One-Person Bands"

Philly's Velvet Crayon, a.k.a. Erik Paluszak, begins "Sleep It All Off" with a deceptively simple ukulele progression, then builds up a fully-fledged one-man rock band with electric guitar, keyboard and harmonica.

"Big Band, Tiny Desk"

Sixteen members strong, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra plays with a formidable tightness and feel all the way through the nearly 10-minute tune "Catchu."

"The Great Outdoors"

They're based in New York and named after a bridge in Washington, but the members of folk-rock band Tacoma Narrows shot their Tiny Desk Contest entry video for "Youthful Hearts" on a frigid-looking mountain in central Vermont.
