Desks Of The Tiny Desk Contest: Utah singer Kelli Moyle sits alone on a train car, singing the longing “happy birthday part 2.” She places a tiny school desk in the train’s aisle, where it sits like a dedicated listener. It’s a tender, beautifully shot performance.

If this loyal, truly tiny desk is your favorite of the Contest, then head over to our weekly just-for-fun vote page by tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET to cast your vote. In the meantime, we’re reviewing all the submissions to the Contest to choose our overall winner, whom we’ll announce next week!

Desks Of The Tiny Desk Contest: California’s Vikki Lee & Bob Woods have chosen an incongruous location for this traveling song: the Oval Office. They appear as ghostly figures who, superimposed atop the desk, sing about a hard-traveling life over a driving Nashville country sound.

If this presidential desk is your favorite of the Tiny Desk Contest, then head over to our weekly just-for-fun vote page by this Friday at 10 a.m. ET to cast your vote. In the meantime, we’re reviewing all the submissions to the Contest to choose our overall winner, whom we’ll announce next week!

Desks Of The Tiny Desk Contest: Colorado folk singer Matthew Wilburn Skinner has a dusty, hushed sound. The video starts with a man opening a roll-top desk to reveal a miniaturized Skinner playing beneath. Skinner employs rotoscoping (à la a-ha’s “Take On Me” video) to render the performance as if it were animated. It’s an eerie look for a beautiful, old sound — Skinner’s colored contours shift as he picks out the mournful “Lydelai.”

If this rotoscoped desk is your favorite of the Tiny Desk Contest, then head over to our weekly just-for-fun vote page by this Friday at 10 a.m. ET to cast your vote. In the meantime, we’re reviewing all the submissions to the Contest to choose our overall winner, whom we’ll announce next week!

Desks Of The Tiny Desk Contest: New York singer Pablo Reyes builds a Latin beat from the ground up. Looping his beatboxing and a simple guitar line under his singing, he weaves a captivating musical setting. His desk, in true Tiny Desk form, is filled with small, meaningful objects. It does double duty as a pedalboard, too, with the lights from his pedals illuminating the colorful cloth beneath them.

If this crowded desk is your favorite of the Tiny Desk Contest, then head over to our weekly just-for-fun vote page by this Friday at 10 a.m. ET to cast your vote. In the meantime, we’re reviewing all the submissions to the Contest to choose our overall winner, whom we’ll announce by early March!

Desks Of The Tiny Desk Contest: California duo Cahn & Yang appear on the screen as neon silhouettes. This desk is a splash of orange across the bottom of the frame, well-coordinated and as bright and hopeful as the duo’s sound.

If this cheerful, vibrant desk is your favorite desk of the Tiny Desk Contest, then head over to our weekly just-for-fun vote page by this Friday at 10 a.m. ET to cast your vote.
